Maria Lo Orzel


A well-regarded film executive, MARIA LO ORZEL began her entertainment career at Home Box Office in the United States. She broke new frontiers during eight years as Regional Vice President of United International Pictures’ Southeast Asia marketing operation. UIP was the international distribution arm of Paramount, Universal and MGM/UA.

More recently, Ms. Orzel has served as Creative Consultant to high-profile directors and producers like Zhang Yimou (“HERO”, “Curse of the Golden Flower”) and Bill Kong (“Windstruck”, “Fearless”). Her involvement covers a wide range of Chinese, English and Korean films.

As Producer, Ms. Orzel’s most recent project is the Sean Faris – Grace Huang cross-cultural romance Lost for Words”.  She is also Producer of “Far Away Eyes” (a.k.a. Four Assassins”), a noir thriller starring Will Yun Lee and Miguel Ferrer.  Also on her producing slate are “FAST Company”, a noir action thriller set in Southeast Asia, and the Hong Kong-style action film “Blackout.”  Both are currently in pre-production.


Stanley J. Orzel


Addicted to movies at a young age, STANLEY J. ORZEL pursues this passion as a Writer/Director of feature films, TV commercials and documentaries.

His inventive filmmaking style has resulted in numerous awards and accolades.  Orzel’s latest directorial outing, “Lost for Words  愛。真。承” garnered the ‘Special Jury Award – Best Theatrical Feature’ at the 46th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.

As a Creative Advisor, Orzel has been instrumental in the creation of numerous international motion pictures.  His involvement ranges from story development and script doctoring to creative post-production guidance on such films as “Hero”, “Zhou Yu’s Train”, “Fearless” and “Windstruck”.

A graduate of the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University, Orzel’s career spans the globe.  Currently bi-continental between Hong Kong and Los Angeles, Orzel has lived and worked in Asia for more than 15 years.

Co-founder of Studio Strada, Orzel continues crafting imaginative films and screenplays and enjoys creative consulting and freelance work across various media.

All the while, Orzel supports Pluto as a planet and chocolate as a food group.


Chris Chan


A veteran of the film and video production business in Hong Kong, CHRIS CHAN is a graduate of Shue Yan University where she majored in Journalism.   During her 18 year tenure at Salon Films, she oversaw a plethora of projects – from documentaries to commercials to international feature films.  Her fearless dedication to each project gained her the reputation as the “Can Do” Production Manager.

In 2011, Chris left her post at Salon Films and joined the production team of the multicultural romanceLost for Words.”


Darren Richter


With more than 25 years experience in all facets of film and video post-production in Hong Kong, DARREN RICHTER is best known as a creative editor.  Darren’s collaboration with Stanley J. Orzel dates back to 1996 when they produced the award-winning documentary “Wind and Water.”

Most recently Darren Richter was the Editor for the thrillerFar Away Eyes” (aka Four Assassins”).  He also edited and served as Post-Production Supervisor on “Lost for Words.”


Maurice Vy


A graduate of the Los Angeles Film School, Maurice has been involved in a wide range of international productions in Hong Kong.  These include “Battleship”, “Contagion”, “Pacific Rim” and most recently “Transformers 4.”

MAURICE VY was a key executive ofLost for Words” and is the Producer of the featurette “Finding Love: Lost for Words Uncovered.”


Vicki Greenleaf


VICKI GREENLEAF has more than 25 years of experience in promoting the entertainment and consumer goods industries.   She has spearheaded a wide range of theatrical and home video releases during her long career in the film industry.

Greenleaf holds a B.A. in journalism from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, and is listed in Who’s Who of American Women.
